In the top 4 breakfast places in RI, we like this one most compared to other locations, but this one seems busier. Get an order of awesome pancakes for something sweet. Then either huevos rancheros or the breakfast tacos - you cannot go wrong. We love the flavors. The workers are always buzzing around. And the food is made with love - sit at the counter one day and watch. I give them 5 stars but my only gripe is the syrup. I get there's an up-charge for premium syrup - if it was free, people would use too much. But every time I hear "do you want the real stuff" or the good stuff....I cringe and think "no I'll take the bad stuff :) and help myself!

The breakfast was very good! I enjoyed my eggs, toast, and sausage. I was a little disappointed by the coffee. Service was also good.

This is a small venue but wow is it worth the wait. The food is so delicious. Great breakfast

This was a nice find. It delivers as a good solid breakfast/brunch option in Providence.

Wow, this place is small but mighty!! We went here for breakfast and it was out of this world. Our order was correct, all items tasted fresh and hot!! I got the gluten friendly French toast, which is a hard find anywhere, and they did an amazing job!! I loved the mini real Vermont maple syrup. We will be back for more!

Seriously, New Year's resolution to get fit? I vote for get fluffy it's gonna be a cold winter we all need that extra layer of fluff for insulation! This month's specials are seriously fantastic! My tastebuds are so happy! Did an eye roll over the first bite of the cinnamon swirl French toast....didnt think I needed it but the Vermont maple syrup soooooo good. I've become addicted to their bloody Mary's....they offer a variety of types and I highly recommend you try each of them (it requires multiple visits which is a huge plus!) my fav is the tequila Bloody Mary....there's just something about it. Hey if you've decided to go for the New Year's resolution of fit, you need a reward.....this is a great option!

While visiting an old friend in Rhode Island, she brought me to The Rhody Hen Café for breakfast one morning. The space itself is quite small, but we managed to get one of the last available tables. It is very quaint and welcoming. I decided to order the eggs and hash while my friend ordered the breakfast Cubano. The eggs and hash was quite tasty and not overly salty like most hashes are. My friend's breakfast Cubano looked absolutely amazing but I resisted asking her for a bite. Definitely a great little breakfast spot if you find yourself in the Providence area.

This is a small cafe with large kudos for greatness. Casual breakfast and lunch place with excellent staff and service.

This place is a delicious breakfast/brunch spot! I had the pleasure of trying their habanero benny, which was out of this world. The chicken was juicy and crisp, while the habanero sauce was sweet and had a little kick to it (think of a homemade sweet chili sauce). The potatoes were also very flavorful and crispy. They're only 4 stars for me b/c I saw them pour their OJ from a commercial OJ brand cartoon when their OJ is claimed to be freshly squeezed. That was a bit disappointing of an otherwise fantastic food experience. We finished the brunch with some pumpkin pancakes which had the perfect blend of cinnamon and pumpkin puree. Would go again, would overeat again, would recommend.

It's clear this place is a neighborhood favorite. Seating is limited, but service is quite organized with the waiting list, and really takes care of you from the moment you enter. The space itself is not particularly special - just a small place with decent seating, and also a small bar seating area that is also very cozy and a little tight. The food consists of mostly classics, diner-like brunch with indulgent dishes. The huevos rancheros are the way to go! In a subsequent visit I also liked the breakfast quesadillas. Omelettes haven't really been a favorite. Portion sizes are huge and food quite rich, so be prepared! You can also get muffins toasted with butter, which has a fun texture with warm butteriness as you would expect, and goes really well with a coffee.
